During October 2016, Hurricane Matthew visited us here at Ebenezer.  The storm blew down over 100 trees on our campus and wooded area near the lake, ball field and walking trails.  We were very grateful for the countless hours of time given by volunteers and staff for the cleanup of the natural terror.  Most of our buildings were only mildly damaged, though the Lake Pavilion sustained significant structural damage from a fallen tree, which destroyed one third of the roof.

The original pavilion was built in 1988, but has since been redesigned and rebuilt to accommodate today’s needs.  It serves as a gathering place for overnight groups to have early morning or evening worship services, our education program to use for multiple activities, and as an outdoor wedding venue.

We are beyond grateful for the generous donations given to rebuild our Boltzius Lake Pavilion and hope that you will share in our joy by hosting an event here!
